Domestic Abuse Awareness Month

Isn't this a month that we have to avoid domestic violence? Well, not for Guam. A few weeks ago, 40-year-old Amanda Tedtaotao died because her boyfriend Roland San Nicholas Smith beat her with something similar to a pipe and smashed her to death. It's really aweful knowing that someone had the guts to do that. We found out that she filed a restraining order against him about 3 years ago. My condolences to her family, especially her sons. They have to to go through this before any young person like you and I. I'd hate to be in her boyfriend's shoes though, because he's facing a really long time in jail. If you or a family member are going through tough things, please seek help. Anyone would help you and your family build a stronger and healthier relationship. We could be the generation who could stop this abuse, so really, try to seek help if you are experiencing problems, or if you know someone who is.
